Residential Shiatsu Holiday Courses Starting in Spring 2011. Learn Shiatsu and Japanese bodywork on the beautiful island of Ibiza. Get away from the hustle and bustle of daily life and immerse yourself in bodywork, learn in a relaxed environment in a tranquil setting with wonderful food and almost guaranteed sunshine.

Shiatsu Foundation Course: 6 days

Learn the basic skills and tools of shiatsu and four simple routines that will allow you to apply them to the body in a variety of positions. This course will enable you to give relaxing treatments to friends and family.  The foundation course can be taken on its own but also forms the first part of the Japanese bodywork course and full practitioner diploma. Includes an introduction to Qigong and Ki development.

Practical Shiatsu Course: 18 days

This course is run over 3 separate weeks and includes and expands on the foundation course. On this module teach you the foundation course techniques as listed above and introduce you to the basics of Chinese medicine and you will learn how to apply shiatsu technique to the 12 main meridians and most commonly used acupressure points. You will also cover anatomy and physiology. Includes daily Qigong and Ki development practice. There is also a certain amount of home study involved. This course is certificated and allows you to obtain insurance and practice in the UK.

The course also qualifies as the first year of the full practitioner diploma.

All courses run from Saturday to Saturday and are fully residential in shared accommodation. Afternoons are free to relax by the pool and there will be  free time to enjoy the island.
